005. 2001: A Space Odyssey w/ Karl Huddleston

On this episode we go back in time over 50 years with a masterpiece from Stanley Kubrick according to many critics with the help from our first guest on MOVIES in 4K. Unfortunately the introduction and first segment had corrupted audio due to the MicroSD Card failing. We sincerely apologize to our guest host but all is not lost as only the first 15 minutes were damaged. BillChete and Lady Phantom re-recorded the opening and then our outstanding guest appears for the rest of the show.

Thanks to Karl Huddleston from Movie Podcast Weekly for making an appearance on our show and helping us review and rate a classic film. You can follow him on Twitter and all of his scores and recommendations are shown below.

As an additional bonus Karl commanded us to pick 3 movies each that we are expecting (maybe) to be released on a 4K Blu-ray Disc. BillChete hopes for the original Planet Of The Apes from 1968, The Birds and Carlito’s Way. Lady Phantom digresses about The Lord Of The Rings trilogy, The Godfather trilogy and Dead Silence her #1 horror film. Karl’s picks are The Great Escape, The Ten Commandments and The Abyss which doesn’t even have a HD Blu-ray release as of yet.

New shows are launching every week on Thursdays up until the second week of July when our typical schedule of bi-weekly will commence.

MOVIES in 4K is where BillChete and Lady Phantom discuss, review, criticize, analyze and debate one movie that has been released on the 4K Blu-ray format each and every episode. Guiding you on the merit of the movie with recommendations and on the purchasing power of physical media.
